I am currently using Rainlendar, which is not able to sync with online Google Calendar. Is there any software that can display my events and to-do list on my desktop and sync with online Google Calendar?

There are multiple desktop calendars that are able to synchronize with Google Calendar, but before switching to a different application, you could try using GCALDaemon, which offers two ways of synchronization between Google Calendar and various compatible calendar applications. GCALDaemon is able to perform a file-based synchronization between Google Calendar and Rainlendar. For more information about this software, go to http://gcaldaemon-beta-16.software.informer.com/ If it's easier for you to use a program that is already synchronized with Google Calendar, you can try Desktop iCalendar Lite( http://desktop-icalendar-lite.software.informer.com/ ) or VueMinder Calendar Pro( http://vueminder-calendar-pro.software.informer.com/ )
Unfortunately, this was a known bug of the application and the only way you could overcome it is to restart the Rainlendar application. Nowadays, the application got updated and this bug does not exist anymore. Try to remove your old configuration and install a new package from the official website.
Right clicking to delete the 1st of a recurring ToDo, deletes the item from the ToDo list but NOT from the Calendar.
